The Fire Within is a book about a college boy named David looking for a place to stay. He finds a place with a mother and daughter named Liz and Lucy. The only difference between this house and other houses is that they make dragons. They are made of clay, though. The mother and daughter imagine the dragons to be real, and they make a dragon named Gadzooks for David. Sometimes the college boy thought that they were crazy. But then he started seeing his dragon writing on a pad of paper (the special item given to the dragon) helping him write. Ever since his first experience, he has lived with them, learning more about each and every dragon they have made.
